Our story

It started with a simple frustration: every stroller we tried fell apart on the trails we loved.

I spent years as a suspension engineer at Polaris. I knew what real suspension felt like, the way a well-tuned machine floats over terrain that beats up everything else. So when I looked at the state of strollers, I couldn't unsee it. Cheap joints, fake shocks, pretend tiny springs. Kids rattled and jostled at the first real off road terrain. I knew something better should exist.

THE IDEA COMING TO LIFE

A garage hobby that wouldn't let go.

As a garage hobby, I started drafting ideas for a true off-road suspension stroller, one with a real suspension that could tackle rough terrain like an ATV. Frames got bent, welded, and re-welded on wooden stands. The design improved and was iterated on over the years, as my wife and I raised our four children.

Every version got tested by the toughest reviewers I know — our own kids, on real trails.

Over time it became clear this wasn't just a hobby. It was a unique idea and something other families would share our excitement about: bringing our kids with us as we explored nature trails, went camping, and hiked deeper than any stroller was supposed to go.

The Bera Buggy was born. I made the hardest, most exciting decision of my career, I quit my full-time engineering job to produce it right here in Minnesota. We're a family-owned company, and this is the product we poured everything into.

Come take one down the trail with us.
